Engineering Company Invests in New Hall
Business at PKM Packaging GmbH is going well, as shown by its sales revenues of €11 million and full order books despite the coronavirus crisis. At the company’s headquarters in Pirmasens, Germany, the engineering company has now enlarged its production space by around 2,000 m2. Along with expanding production, the company is also planning a training and development center. Including the infrastructure involved and the essential inventory, the costs of building the new hall come to €1.6 million. The funding notification for a state subsidy in the sum of €320,000 was handed over personally by Economics Minister Volker Wissing in the middle of August. Operations in the new building started in October. PKM Packaging is a specialist in automation and builds complex individual packaging systems for customers across the globe.
