THE ASSIGNMENT

The major challenge here is – in addition to the required high cycle output – also de-palletising and subsequent assembling of up to five components per blister pack. The blister plant is integrated in the packaging line, followed by packing in displays for the POS, then re-packaging for transport.

THE SOLUTION

While de-palletising and sorting are normally solved manually, we have been able to design a plant that also automates these work steps. The PKM hollow wall erector and lidding machines are used when the charger, hand pieces and brushes are inserted into the blister pack – sorted by colour.  It’s important for the high level of production that the pallets are changed without any machinery standstill.
